Ileana Rivera has 10 years of experience working exclusively on immigration cases. Her philosophy is to provide you with the best option for her immigration process.

Ileana Rivera earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Puerto Rico in 1993. After years of working as a manager for the private and government sectors and living through injustices during those years, she decided to study law, hoping to help others navigate the judicial system. In 2013, she earned a Juris Doctor from Interamerican University, passed the bar, and has been a member of the Puerto Rican Bar and the U.S. District Court.

Mrs. Rivera’s legal experience is diverse. She practiced criminal defense with the Public Defender’s Office of Puerto Rico and clerked for The Hon. Brian K. Tester, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge, interned at the Interamerican University Legal Clinic and worked pro bono for the Puerto Rico Bar Association, where she litigated various cases. She also worked for two years for the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico, creating and implementing an educational program to educate visitors about the judicial system and the history of the Supreme Court.

In 2014 Mrs. Rivera founded a law firm partnership with an experienced immigration attorney. In 2015, she moved to Orlando, Florida, to open a sole proprietor law firm and worked on family and employment cases. In 2018, she worked for Maney, Gordon, Zeller, Immigration Attorneys, and expanded her knowledge of waivers, removal, and VAWA cases. In 2019, she founded Terra Immigration and offered full-service immigration services in Orlando, FL. In 2023, she founded Immigration Universe Attorneys. Mrs. Rivera practices U.S. Immigration Law in the United States and its territories. She is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. 

Mrs. Rivera speaks English and Spanish fluently.
